{ OUR WEDDING :: Matt + Aubrey }

Okay, enough with this ROYAL WEDDING, let's talk about OUR WEDDING again! Our amazing photographer, Courtney Winnie, posted a few pictures on Facebook the other day and knowing that a few of my friends and family don't have FB accounts, I thought I better repost a few of them here. These are just a sampling of my favorites. I actually have yet to go through the hundreds of images on the CDs she gave us. So while I procrastinate that a little longer, enjoy these photographs from our picture perfect day!

{ The Royal Wedding :: William + Kate }

I should NOT have watched the Royal Wedding this morning. Seriously, the only thing I've been able to think about all day at work is that amazing dress! Didn't Catherine look incredible? Like a princess! (Not to mention Pippa's dress was stunning too!)

I found my myself getting sucked into the fairytale of it all and (I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it), got a little choked up when I saw Harry mouth to William "Wait 'til you see her!" Wow! She was quite the sight to behold. I loved every minute of it. Well, the minutes I saw as I sat at my kitchen table processing roses for a wedding this weekend. How fitting!

So what did you think of the Royal Wedding? Do you love these two as much as I do, or am I just a big fat sucker for a good "happily ever after?"

And just for fun, click HERE for a shout out to my girl Brittany who was spotted by CNN wearing this incredible handmade paper flower atop her head. (Click on image #3.) Such a classy lady that Brittany! Kinda wish I had a cool hat to wear today.

{ Pretty Dishes Make Everything Taste Better }

We received a lot of fabulous gifts for our wedding: new plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, pitchers, placemats. You name it, it's new! But of all the new things we received, I think these painted Zinnia Thicket Plates from Anthropologie are among my favorite! Aren't they pretty? We have them in white, black, red, and grey. Of course the grey is my favorite! Don't you just love them?

{ Sneak Preview :: My UNFINISHED House }

I can't believe I'm actually going to show you these photos.  My house is still NO WHERE near completion.  We're still waiting on our new sectional, haven't placed the family room rug, pictures need to be hung, HAVE to paint that kitchen/family room, want to upgrade the kitchen cabinets, still need to hang the draperies, install the hardwood floors, wallpaper, remodel the bathrooms, blah, blah, blah...

BUT, since I had to borrow my parent's camera to photograph some wedding flowers at my house, I thought I would take some photos of my PROGRESS (that's right, this house is still a work in progress so please don't judge).  Anyway, here's what I've done to the house in the 4 weeks since I moved in. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll give you a REAL tour and show you the rest of the house.

{ Design By Aubrey :: Colton & Adrienne's Wedding }

I absolutely love the way these flowers turned out for my good friend Adrienne's wedding this past weekend. The colors, the texture, the shape and size, they're all fabulous - if I do say so myself! To see more of the beautiful blooms, simply click HERE or HERE.

{ EASTER :: A Message of Peace & Love }

Saturday afternoon I received word that my dear friend Briana Blackwelder was killed in a fatal car crash on her way to California from Utah. The news was incredibly painful and I've already spent many hours crying over the loss of my dear beautiful friend. It's never easy to loose someone we love.

Life is so short and so fragile and this tragic time has given me an opportunity to reflect on all the meaningful relationships I have in my life and how incredibly grateful I am to have the knowledge of the restored gospel that proclaims we will all one day live again.

Isn't it ironic that today, Easter, is the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ and the gift he gave to us. I know that because of my Savior's sacrifice, I will see my dear friend again. This true message gives me such great peace and comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with Briana and her family who continue to grieve at her loss. She will truly be missed.

A MESSAGE TO MY DEAR FRIEND: Bri, I love you and miss you already. In the short time you shared here with us, you touched so many. It was a privilege to know you and call you friend. Your beautiful smile, your ability to love, your zest for life, were seen and felt by all who knew you. Bri, you will forever be in my heart. It pains me to think that your time here was cut short, but I find peace in the message of the gospel and rejoice in the knowledge that I will one day be united with you again. May you continue the journey you began here. God be with you 'til we meet again. I love you Bri.

{ To Me :: Love Kate }

My lovely Grandparents gifted me some money this year for my birthday and the husband told me I could buy whatever I wanted with it. So this is what I picked: a "Mrs" necklace. Isn't it sweet? I'm wearing it right now! I love it so much. Happy belated birthday to me. :)

{ My OTHER Bridal Shower }

I'm a little behind on this one, but wanted to blog it anyway.  My OTHER shower was absolutely fabulous. The weather was insane that day! Gorgeous blue skies, sunshine, and a warm 76 degrees. A perfect day to have a Bridal Shower!

The food and decor were beautiful! Everything was themed around these amazing cherry blossom branches. We had cherry yogurt cups, cherry pie, cherry muffins, and more...

I loved every minute of my shower! Especially the part where I got to open ALL of those presents. I LOVE PRESENTS! Seriously, it was like 10 Christmases rolled into one!

Thank you so much to all the wonderful women in my life who spoiled me rotten. What a wonderful day!  Wish I could go back and do it all over again!

{ UNOFFICIAL :: Wedding Day Photos }

It's no secret. My sister-in-law Stephanie is a fabulous photographer! For our wedding gift she took our engagement photos at the LACMA, which you might remember seeing HERE. Well, although she couldn't be our photographer for the wedding day, she still wanted to bring along her fancy equipment and snap a few things from behind the scenes. And wow are we glad she did. Look at these awesome shots she just shared with us. Thanks Steph! We love them.

{ Betty Crocker :: The G-Free Cookie }

Because I grew up in a house where my Dad has made his famous "Kenny Cookies" for us every Sunday, I decided to carry on the tradition in our house too! Only problem? I'm gluten-intolerant and making G-Free cookies is not as easy as it sounds. Fortunately, it seems to be some sort of Hollywood trend right now, so G-free foods and mixes are everywhere! And thank goodness sweet little Betty Crocker jumped on the G-Free bandwagon because now I can whip up these delicious treats in minutes. So yummy! We love Sunday cookies at our house!
