The hubby and I decided this Memorial Day we would pack up the picnic basket and make our way down to San Clemente to spend a day at the beach, along with the rest of Southern California! Good thing we didn't actually spend ALL day there, because after just a few hours in the sun (with sunscreen on!) we left looking like lobsters! Thanks San Clemente for the gorgeous weather and toasted skin! Give us some time to recover and we'll be back.
PS- I think my husband is the hottest man alive. It had to be said.

{ CHP "Share The Road" Commercial }
If you spent any time at all on the California Freeways last month, you probably remember signs saying this "SHARE THE ROAD LOOK, TWICE FOR MOTORCYCLISTS."
It was all part of a month long campaign put on by California's Highway Patrol in an attempt to make our roads a safer and more pleasant place to drive.
As part of the CHP's campaign, this commercial was released to remind drivers to be courteous and "SHARE THE ROAD." If you look (and listen) closely, you might recognize the sexy man they cast to be their motorcyclist!

{ 100% Hollywood Couture }
This morning I decided to take this genius quiz to find out if someone could give a title to my ever-changing style of Interior Design. And I have to admit, I was not the least bit surprised by the results. According to Sproost.com, I am 100% Hollywood Couture. Kind of awesome considering the inspiration for my wedding was "Hollywood Glam."
If you'd like to take the quiz to find out what style of design you are, click HERE, then come back to share your results!
Here's what they had to say about my particular style:
"Welcome to Hollywood! What's your dream?" That's right, its time to roll out the red carpet and get ready for the sparkle of crystal and all things flashy that make up the Hollywood Couture style. Hollywood Couture style originated in high-end lifestyles that made up the years between the roaring 20's and the swinging 40's where it was important to bring a feeling of glamour to the home when the world outside may have lacked it. Nowadays it's scratching a similar itch in the sense that it's bringing a sense of opulence to a world that seems to have forgotten how much fun it can be! The great thing about the updated version of the style is how versatile it is. You can really take it in any direction and add almost any style into the mix, perhaps a contemporary leather sofa paired with lacquered Louis XIV chairs that have been upholstered in lush velvet. The key is that each item feels as rich and over-the-top as possible and yet everything still seems livable. It's not a space that screams: "do not touch" - rather it almost dares you to experience its luxury."
Dead on.

{ Adventures In The Midwest }
Poor Matt didn't get to come along for my last adventure, but I'm not sure how he would have fared hanging out with me, Jen, and the girls all day long anyway! :)
So while Matt was home enjoying our Cal King all to himself, I spent the last week somewhere between Illinois and Missouri with my friend Jen, her husband Josh and their 3 adorable little girls in O'Fallon Illinois.
I was lucky enough to be there the week before the big thunderstorms hit, so we were able to visit the FREE St. Louis Zoo (forget San Diego...I'll take FREE anyday!), the amazing Gateway Arch, and a few great restaurants around town.
All in all it was nice break from the monotony of my 9to5, but I DEFINITELY started missing the hubby and was happy to return to married life back in Southern California!

{ Swell Beauty :: Spring Bride }
Last weekend while Matt was busy at work, I was busy pretending to be a bride all over again! Swell Beauty, a new company beauty company in Orange County, asked if I would participate in a photo shoot to promote their new website: www.swellbeauty.com.
The girls were incredibly talented and so fun to work with. I would recommend them to any bride looking for a great hair and makeup artist for their big day. Click HERE to check out some beautiful images from our shoot.

{ Aquarium Of The Pacific }
Fridays are usually my busy days! I'm either busy picking up flowers for a wedding, designing flowers for a wedding, or delivering flowers for a wedding. But lucky for me, I had the weekend free!
So I joined up with Little D and the fam and headed to The Aquarium Of The Pacific. We had so much fun admiring the seals, touching sting rays, hiding from the sharks, and just spending time together.
I absolutely adore these shots I took of Dallen and his Uncle Scotty at the end of our long afternoon together. You can tell how much D looks up to his Uncle Scotty. Oh how I miss these two!

{ Design By Aubrey :: Flower Update }
Have you seen the flowers I designed for the Marie Antoinette themed wedding last week? If not, I suggest you take a quick minute to click HERE and check them out. Such a fun, flirty wedding! I absolutely love the way her bouquet turned out. Wish I could take credit for the feathers, but truth be told they were the brides idea. Aren't they fabulous?
